The Faulls Story

The Faull’s model is simple – To provide quality footwear at affordable prices and considered great value. Then for us to offer a Customer Service Experience which promotes return shopping and loyalty.

Faull's Shoes is still a privately owned family Company and through its branded outlets has a proud family tradition of over 100 Years.

Faull's Shoes first opened its doors in Ballarat at 62 Bridge Street in 1910. The founder was Thomas George Faull. He moved the business in 1916 to 20 Bridge Mall and this is still the present site of Faull’s Shoes Retail store and Head Office.

Thomas’s son Alan joined the business in 1931 and despite tough conditions during WW11 the business survived and grew. In 1966 Alan’s youngest son John joined the business and was Managing Director from the early 1970’s. In 1994 the Company undertook a serious expansion program.

A Comfort Fitting Store was opened in Geelong trading as Kumfs Comfort Shoes. The Ballarat store was split a year later to also trade as Kumfs Comfort Shoes on to Little Bridge Street. Another Faull's store was opened in Geelong in 1995 and then in 1999 the opportunity arose for 2 further stores; this time in Tasmania. One in Hobart and one in Launceston. The final Faull's store was acquired in Warrnambool in 2007 giving a total of 5 Faulls Stores.

The Company has embraced the e-commerce age with online stores for Faull's Shoes. We work hard to keep the websites fresh, up-to-date and engaging.  We are supporting our online and bricks and mortar stores with very regular activity on most social pages including Facebook and Instagram.

The Family business now has a large wholesale arm with Bueno European Shoes being sold Australia wide. These European shoes have wonderful detail and will feature strongly in both Faull's retail stores and online while also being sold in some of the best footwear and fashion stores in Australia. We have also developed a super comfort range under Tesselli and Tesselli XD (for our orthotic wearers). Once again they are made in Europe and are a beautiful quality, wonderful, functional designs and hugely popular.
